Finished my scarf too. The spinning is coming along. I found quite a few online videos. I like the www.icanspin.com videos the most helpful. I'm planning to go to Stitches West in 2 weeks, hopefully they will have some roving and spindle vendors there too. Posted by Hello

My order from Elann came on Saturday and I started on the socks for my sock pal. I changed the pattern to a mini-waffers pattern. I don't really like knitting in cotton, but these are starting to grow on me a little. Posted by Hello

Blocking..

Still working on the loopy scarf. Got a few more repeats done. I'll probably finish it this weekend unless the new yarn arrives and I get distracted.

Found this interesting article on blocking.

Tried my hand on spinning today. Went to Michaels and picked up a dowel and a wooden wheel and made this spindle. I have absolutely no idea if I'm doing this right or not. I'm going to do more research on drop spindles and get a real one. Posted by Hello

I ordered this yarn in the Seashore colorway for my sock buddy's socks. I'm thinking about either the pom squad sock pattern or the crusoe.

Finished knitting the hat yesterday. Ordered some highland peruvian worsted weight for dd#2's vest. I'm working on the scarf again. Hopefully I'll make some progress on it before my new yarn arrives.

Vest or hat?

Started "dd#2's vest", but I'm thinking about keeping it for myself and turning it into a hat. First, I'm not sure I have enough yarn for a vest. Second, the yarn doesn't seem that appropriate for a 10 month old, but very nice for mama. We'll see. I have some organic yarn from Full Belly Farm that I can use for the vest. This way, I use up more yarn from the stash. Posted by Hello

Teddy is done

Finished the bear this morning. I love quick projects. The bear has no facial features, true to the waldorf tradition. :) Its about 6 inches tall. I'm either going to start on dd#2's vest or leg warmers for moi. I'm going to make that decision based on what I have in my stash. Really trying not to make another trip to the LYS. Posted by Hello

Started on my next project. I'm knitting a teddy bear with this yarn for dd#1. She picked out the yarn herself. I hope I have enough yarn. As for the scarf, I haven't touched it for a few days. I guess when I get bored with teddy, I'll go back to the scarf. Posted by Hello

The socks are done! I know the picture is a bit off. But do you notice something funky about the socks? See how the stripes are closer together on the left? I noticed the difference in stripping when I was doing the ribbing, but I thougth WTH. I like funky socks. And yes, I learned my lesson. I need to start the 2nd ball of yarn instead of continuing with the yarn from the first sock. Posted by Hello

Ordered yarn for clapotis

When I went to order the yarn yesterday, they have increased the minimum order to $50. I emailed them, and luckily they have the yarn I want in stock and they are going to allow it this time. Yay!

The socks are coming along. I turned the heel last night.

Maybe this one?  Posted by Hello

Decisions, decisions, decisions...

I'm trying to decide on the yarn for the ever-so-popular clapotis. I'm looking at mystical creation yarns, what do you think?
Finised the ribbing on the socks. Still chugging along.

I started working on the scarf again. I did a couple of repeats today. I'm still working on the socks. Finished the first one, and I'm working on the ribbing for the twin. Got a little bored with the k2p2, so I thought I'd work on the scarf a little. Posted by Hello

Here's what I have so far. I'm also showing off the stitch markers I got from bungalowbuns.com. I switched from the double points to a 32" circ. Works a bit better especially with an almost 10 month old tugging on the yarn. Posted by Hello

Most obnoxious bumper sticker

It reads: "Peace by the most superior military power". Then I saw the Marine Corp sticker next to it. Ah ha! Does the rest of america think like that?

On the knitting front, the socks are progressing nicely. I'm more than half way done with the right sock (I kept trying it on with my right foot, probably because I'm right handed). I'm knitting with these really sharp, pointy metal needles. I'm going to get some wooden ones tonight just so I don't poke one of my kids accidentally.

Here are the socks I'm working on, size 0 needles. I figured I'll update my progress so I'll stay motivated. This is my first time using size 0 needles and its so slow. I knit really loose, so when I first started with the recommended needle size (2), its way to loose for socks. I didn't have any size 1 needles, so I went to 0s. The color is a lot nicer, its Lorna's Laces sock yarn waterfall colorway. Posted by Hello
